'Dear Old Roswell' Lecture Sheds Light on Founding Family

The first in a series of lectures at Barrington Hall begins this Wednesday.

A speaking event with author Tammy Harden Galloway this Wednesday, Oct. 5 will kick off a series of historical lectures at Barrington Hall this fall.

Galloway, the author of "Dear Old Roswell: The Civil War Letters of the King Family of Roswell, Georgia" seems a fitting start to the six installment series since her book goes over letters to and from Barrington King during the Civil War. A few letters within the book are from King family members to Colonel Barrington King. Published during 2003, the letters mostly cover the second half of the war.

The popular Wednesday lecture series will continue with other speakers this fall covering historical topics of interest to Roswell and Georgia residents.
