Flood Warning Issued For Roswell

The Chattahoochee River near the city has surpassed its flood stage.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Roswell.

The Chattahoochee River near the city was reportedly at 9.6 feet just before 5 p.m. this afternoon and its waters were holding steady, according to the agency. 

Flood stage for the river is set at 9 feet and minor flooding will occur until early evening when the river is expected fall below flood stage.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue through the evening and some of those storms can produce heavy rainfall. New rainfall amounts could vary between a quarter to a half-inch.
