Former Roswell Resident in Contest to Win 'Royal' Wedding

Former Roswell resident, Cassie Berry and her fiance, Jimmy Savage, have drawn royal couple comparisons and now they want a "royal wedding" of their own.

Born and raised in Roswell until her family moved up north when she was eight, Cassie Berry, is asking her hometown for help: she and her fiance are in the running to win their own "royal" wedding.

Ironically similar to the real royal couple, Prince William and Catherine, Berry and her fiance, Jimmy Savage, are used to the comparisons. Like William and Kate, the pair dated for eight years before becoming engaged in October. Currently, Savage is stationed in South Carolina because he also serves in the Air Force,Β just like William.

Now, Berry wants to add a royal wedding to those comparisons by winning an "Ultimate Wedding" contest sponsored by Crate & Barrel.

She's hoping to pull off a "city meets country" wedding to blend her Southern roots with an upscale, sophisticated feeling. In an effort to get all the votes they'll need to win, the pair have been profiled for their "royal" similarities by several news organizations, including the iPad news show, "The Daily."

To vote for this wannabe royal couple with Roswell roots, visit the Crate & Barrel Ultimate Wedding website. Voting ends today.
