Ga. 400 to Close For Cyclists

The annual bike ride coordinated by the Georgia 400 Hospitality Highway Century raises awareness of their mission to fight childhood obesity.

The southbound lanes of Georgia 400 between Exit 7 at Holcomb Bridge Road and Exit 6 at Northridge Road will close for 30 minutes on Sunday June 30 so thousands of avid cyclists can participate in the Annual Georgia 400 Bicycle Ride.

The state highway will close between 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Highway 9 will serve as an alternate route for motorists. Prospective riders will be able to choose to ride the 9, 22, 45, 62 and 101-mile routes. 

Registration before June 26 is $40 for adults and $25 for those between the ages fo 12 and 18. 

Sponsored by the Georgia Hospitality Highway Century, the ride draws attention to efforts to fight childhood obesity.
