Georgia Philharmonic Auditioning String Musicians in Roswell

Auditions are open for students from Centennial High and Roswell High, and for other experienced musicians in the area.

Georgia Philharmonic, a community orchestra with a higher-than-usual level of musicianship, is holding auditions to fill several slots for string players interested in joining the orchestra for the remainder of the 2011 season.

Through the Philharmonic’s Young Artists Development Program, there are a limited number of string seats for high school musicians looking to join the orchestra for an opportunity to mentor with a adult community orchestra.

Members of the orchestras at Roswell High and Centennial  High under the age of 18 must have a recommendation from their teacher, and will be required to perform an audition and attend all rehearsals. Rehearsals take place in the Roswell area on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
