Get a Deal on Tax Day

Harry's Farmers Market will pay the tax on customer purchases, Papa John's offers special price on large pizza today to celebrate the end of tax season.

Taxes are due to be filed today and to celebrate the end of tax season - at least for another year - several local businesses are offering some great deals.

is paying its customers’ sales tax today, April 18.  

At least that's some good news, even if you're not getting a refund back.

Harry's shoppers will be able to stock up on any of the store's natural and organic products, from food to eco-friendly products and green cleaners, all without paying a penny of the sales tax.

“Some shoppers might choose to stock up, while others might decide to ‘trade up’ [by] trying a different cheese or wine or cut of meat that might not typically be on their shopping list,” said Jennifer Smeth, marketing team leader for Harry’s Farmers Market. “Whatever the motivation, we want to give our customers a little shopping break on 'tax day' and we know every little bit helps.”

The store will also offer deep discounts on select items on the 18, in addition to weekly flyer specials, giving customers even more ways to save.

On Monday April 18th the following items will also be on sale for one day only! A few of those deals include: 10 inch fruit or veggie trays for $7.99; Whole Foods Market Organic Triple Milled Bar Soaps, 8 oz, two for $7.50; bucket of wings for $6.99; and Sigg Water Bottles are buy-one-get-one-free. For flyer info and store hours visit Harry's online.  

The  in Roswell is also giving customers an extra reason to visit this tax season since children age 12 and under will eat dinner for free throughout April. The deal is good as long as their parents purchase an adult entrée. IHOP will provide one free kid meal per adult entrée, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The kids' menu features pancakes, cheeseburgers, chicken and other items. All the meals come in at under 600 calories.

According to TaxDayFreebies.com, Papa John's Pizza is offering customers a large, four-topping pizza on original crush for only $10.40 on April 18 when they enter the "1040" promotion code.
