Get Out: 5 Things To Do This Weekend

Why Go?: Summer and camping go hand-in-hand! If you are not quite ready to head to the mountains, then start out at CNC! We will sleep out under the stars, enjoy night hikes, play games in the meadow, visit with nocturnal animals, roast marshmallows around the campfire and more!  

Price: $45 non-member families/$35 member families, pre-registration required.

Why Go?: Come take a close-up look at the insects that are all around! Begin by observing and identifying insects we collect in nets. Check out the Insect Pinning Workshop in the Nature Exchange later in the day to continue the fun!

Where/When: , 5530 Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30004,Saturday, July 30, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Why Go?: This is a motorcycle ride to support military troops. Receive a black t-shirt, all you can eat pancakes at the beginning of the ride and then enjoy a scenic route into the hills. The ride starts at The Original Pancake House in Alpharetta.

Price: $30 per rider, $20 per passenger

Why Go?: ATL native, artist and musician Mike "Swami" Schulman was noticed and began working for the Grateful Dead in 1992. When Jerry Garcia died in 95, Swami put "Swami Gone Bananas" together to 'cover' them. Enjoy this compilation at Matilda’s Saturday night.

Why Go?: Have fun on Lake Lanier by joining this party. Bring your swimwear because the party will transport you to a private island. Enjoy great music, a hot tub and complimentary food.
