Hembree Farm has declared itself French – just like the Roswell Manufacturing Company did in 1864!

The Roswell Historical Society will host a wine tasting event with heavy hor d-oeuvres with a little bit of history on Saturday, July 12, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Little Green House, located at 780 Hembree Road.

Don Reddicks, certified wine educator and wine advisor at Harry’s Farmers Market, will present a tasting of French wines for residents to enjoy.

The French Connection is in tribute to the sesquicentennial of the federal occupation of Roswell in 1864.

A history lesson on how the French were involved in the federal occupation of Roswell will also be presented.

Tickets are $30 person and may be obtained at by emailing societyrhs@bellsouth.net or calling 770-992-1665.

All proceeds will benefit Historic Hembree Farm.
