Local Families Receive Warm Coats from NFCC

North Fulton Community Charities distributed the warm coats donated by locals recently.

Just in time for the cold front we're currently experiencing, North Fulton Community Charities distributed 1,228 warm coats and jackets to families this past Saturday, Oct. 27.

Over 300 volunteers helped sort, hang and act as personal shoppers for the event, which drew 274 families who began lining up at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening.

Nimble Fingers and Hooks & Sticks hand knitted 1,500 caps and mittens, which were distributed as well. And Jim Waddell's Chic-fil-A store provided lunch, while the Malon D Mimms Company provided the space for the distribution site.
