The pumpkin is actually not paper mache. It is Closed Cell Spray Foam with a welded Galvanized Steel frame, wrapped in shrink wrap then wrapped in chicken wire and painted with a semi-gloss exterior paint. It is 12ft 9in tall, 13ft 6in wide, 35ft around and weights approximately 400lbs. I am one of the builders of the pumkin and it was sponsored by the North Fulton Jaycees. Everyone can come see the pumpkin and take pictures with it till the end of October. It is currently sitting at the North Fulton Jaycees 31st Annual House on Horror Hill haunted house located at the corner of Wills Rd. and Alpharetta Hwy in Alpharetta. The haunted house is open Thurs, Fri and Sat at dark. Please visit www.houseonhorrorhill.com for more information.
