Moms Talk: Meet Our Moms Council

Roswell Patch introduces the members of our Moms Council. Send current issues and questions you have for them to editor, christine.foster@patch.com.

Meet the women who will do their best to tackle topics regarding local issues and answer parenting questions every week - because everyone should know they're not alone in the way they think.

Tianna Klein-Albritton - "I have lived in Roswell for 22 years. I am married to my wonderful husband Scott and we have two sons, Ross and Grant. Ross is a junior at [Georgia College & State University] and Grant is a senior at [Roswell High School] entering [University of Georgia] in the fall. I have always been a stay-at-home-mom who's active at my kids’ schools and our church. I am also an active member in the Roswell Woman’s Club. I grew up in Darien, Connecticut and went to college at [Southern Methodist University] in Dallas, Texas where I received a degree in Marketing and Journalism. My hobbies include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, home projects/organization, modern technology, working out, gardening and entertaining. Scott and I believe Roswell is a great place to live and to raise our kids."

Andy Blake - "I am a mother of twin boys who are now 15. Wow, seems like just yesterday that I had them, now they are almost grown. We have learned so much in 15 years. I hope that all I have learned will make it easier on new moms who panic at a fever or a sneeze."

Christine Holt - "I am the happily-frazzled wife and mother of two. I've lived in Roswell since the mid 90’s.  My son is 10 years old and is a witty young man who is into swimming, Cub Scouts and video games. My seven year old daughter, who has Down Syndrome, is a rambunctious and VERY independent little girl who loves to swim and dance (currently that includes ballet, tap and jazz). Though I was born and raised in Northern California and only moved to Georgia "temporarily," my husband and I fell in love with Roswell and now can’t imagine living and raising our family anywhere else. I love animals, the outdoors and my whole family has a passion for water. I work outside of the home and, of course, with kids come all the associated school functions, extracurricular activities and general maintenance (they do need to eat and be clothed after all). But, when possible, I enjoys photography, beading, antiquing and hanging out with the family on a day where there is nothing on the schedule.

Teresa Street - "I've been married for over 16 years and I am a mother of two.  Though I was born and raised in Alabama, I’ve lived in Roswell since about 1998. My daughter graduates high school this year and my son is in fourth grade.  I enjoy volunteer work when I have the time.  I work full time in the medical field and part time for a major retailer.  Some of my passions include writing, photography, saving money and taking family vacations.  I blog on occasion and I am very open minded and willing to experience life in new and fascinating ways. My motto is:  'Never depend on others to make you happy.  It’s not their job and if it was, could you really afford to pay their salary?'"
