Mountain Park To Hold First Beer Festival

The small city that sits on the Cherokee-north Fulton border will hold its first beer festival in June.

The small city of Mountain Park, which sits on the border of Cherokee and north Fulton County, will venture into the world of hosting a beer festival.

The first-ever Mountain Park Beer Festival will be held on Saturday, June 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the green lawn next to Garrett Lake. Garrett Lake is located across the street from Mountain Park City Hall at 118 Lakeshore Drive.

Over 30 different breweries and food trucks will be on hand for residents to enjoy. The event will also feature a children's lay area, arts and crafts vendors and a VIP area.

The festival will raise money for the Mountain Park Watershed Preservation Society, a nonprofit that's designed to raise money to preserve and protect the lakes and streams of the city.

Regular admission through Xorbia is $35, which includes a souvenir cup and beer samples. Tickets are $45 on the day of the festival. VIP tickets are $70, and includes a catered barbecue meal served in an indoor air conditioned seating facility.

Tickets can be purchased online.

Minors accompanied by adults are allowed to attend the event for free, as are designated drivers.
