Patch Picks: Best Places to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

-       Obviously, The Harp Irish Pub has to be on any list for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Roswell, right?! Founded by Ireland native, Ray Connelly, the pub is outfitted in authentic Irish fixtures and furniture that came from old homes and churches. The menu includes traditional fare such as bangers and mash, as well as more American-style options like hot wings. There is entertainment scheduled for tonight. Did you have any doubt? -       Kick up your kilt at The Tilted Kilt on Holcomb Bridge Road. The restaurant has a day of festivities planned that are sure to help you get your Irish on! Green beer is just the beginning… But make sure to order some heavy pub food to soak up those suds! How about Maggie Mae’s Fish & Chips or Danny Boy’s Shepherd’s Pie? Don’t worry if that’s not your style, they also serve pizza and burgers. They are located at 925 Holcomb Bridge Road, 770-993-5700.

-       Not really a fan of Irish food, but still want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Ceviche in historic is the perfect alternative. The restaurant elevates Mexican food, but manages to keep a casual, hole-in-the-wall feeling – which makes for a perfect party. They swear their “crazy green "Shamrocka Rita" will make you feel like you found a pot o' gold.” We're sold. They are located at 963 Canton Street, 770-518-6011.

 -       You’ll have to cross city boundary lines to party at the Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub in Crabapple – but only barely. Though technically located in Milton, the pub is a skip, hop and jump from Roswell’s borders and it’s worth the trip. They will have an outdoor kitchen and bar set up in a heated tent (so don’t worry about the cold!). Enjoy some corned beef and cabbage, Reuben sandwich and sticky toffee pudding in honor of the special day. -       If you can wait a few days to celebrate – or heck, even if you want to celebrate twice – then Killer Creek Harley Davidson is the perfect place to party. This Sunday, Mar. 20, the motorcycle dealer is hosting a St. Patrick’s celebration with food and beer by Tilted Kilt, live music and entertainment by the Psycho Devilles and more. There will also be a ride-in bike show and the dealership is offering special sales on motorcycles and gear. They are located at 11480 Alpharetta Highway, 770-777-1000.
