Rain Soaked 4th Festivities

Even though storms put a literal damper on Roswell's Fourth of July festivities, people still had fun.

The fireworks at Roswell High School on July 4 may have been delayed for a little while until later than anticipated, but the fun wasn't put on hold. Plenty of residents and visitors capped off their holiday festivities by hanging out on the school's lawn prior to the fireworks start at 9:50 p.m.

When the fireworks finally did start, they were everything we expect from a 4th of July event.

"They were spectacular even though it was raining during the entire shoot. Hats off to the pyrotechnics company that made it happen," said Roswell Fire Chief Ricky Spencer.
