Roswell Celebrates America Recycles Day

The city has dedicated the month of November to environmental initiatives.

America Recycles Day is Nov. 15 and to celebrate the Roswell Recycling Center has planned multiple events at the center and online including a Facebook “Question of the Day” with a chance to win an iPad courtesy of Caraustar Industries.

  • Nov. 1-15 - “Like” the Roswell Recycling Center on Facebook and then look for our question of the day each morning at 8 a.m. The first correct answer to each day’s questions will win a special prize and be entered into a drawing for an iPad courtesy of Caraustar Industries at the end of the competition.
  • Nov. 5 - Bulky Trash Amnesty Day - from 8 a.m. until noon. Find more information about this event online
  • Nov. 12 - Shred Fest! Stop by 1810 Hembree Road. From 8 a.m. to noon.  For more information, please contact Trevor Williams at 770-442-8822 or twilliams01@roswellgov.com.        
  • Nov. 12 - Customer Appreciation Day from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Giveaways and a cookout sponsored by Atlanta Recycling Solutions. Free!
  • Nov. 19 - Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Roswell residents only. Registration is required. Fill out the registration form found online or may be requested by emailing jliberman@roswellgov.com.
