Roswell Celebrates Heritage Days in May

The city has planned plenty of special events for May, in conjunction with Heritage Days.

The month of May is National Historic Preservation Month and Roswell is ready to celebrate!

The city will commemorate the entire month with Heritage Days in May. Throughout the month, an array of events will take place to celebrate the city’s historic charm and culture.

With so many events, exhibits and performances, there will definitely be something for everyone during the 2012 Heritage Days in May. Some of the highlights include:

  • May 1-31 Gallery Go Round Exhibit at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center
  • May 5  “Little Tybee” Riverside Sounds outdoor concert at Riverside Park
  • May 6 Atlanta Wind Symphony at Roswell Cultural Arts Center
  • May 7 “Rebel With a Cause” Exhibit at Bulloch Hall
  • May 8 Genealogy Lecture Series at Smith Plantation
  • May 10-12 Works in Clay Spring Show & Sale at Roswell Art Center West
  • May 12-13 Colors Festival of Arts at Historic Town Square
  • May 13 Mother’s Feeding Others-Mother’s Day Open House at Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation
  • May 28 Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Ceremony at City Hall
  • May 31 Lecture Series at Barrington Hall

"Once again we are reminded what a very rich cultural community we have here in Roswell. There is so much going on this month thanks to the more than 25 arts and cultural groups we are fortunate to have call Roswell home as well as the many events and programs we offer….it’s amazing," said G. Morgan Timmis, the city’s Historic and Cultural Affairs Manager.
