Roswell Hosts Mini-Golf Tournament

You'd better start practicing your putt now because the city of Roswell will host its first “On The Fringe Mini Golf Tournament” this Saturday, April 30.

Always looking for new and entertaining family activities, the city's Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department will partner with Area 51 Family Entertainment - Aurora Cineplex and The Fringe Miniature Golf Course - to bring city residents a fun competition. 

Families and friends will team up to play the 18-hole tournament on the Fringe course in foursomes. And when you're not focusing on that hole-in-one you'll be entertained by a DJ, carnival games, train rides, inflatables and have plenty of concession options to quiet a growling stomach. You wouldn't want hunger pains to ruin a perfect putt, after all.

Registration costs $10 and includes the 18-hole tournament, a free pass to use at a later date and a gift bag. It's open to golfers in seven different age groups from six-years-old to adults. Four time slots are available: 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 2 p.m.

Trophies will be awarded to winners in each age group with an awards ceremony to be held during the following Roswell Mayor and City Council meeting on May 9. But if you don't win a trophy, there's still a chance to win door prizes or other contests.  

The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 30 at the Fringe Miniature Golf at Area 51, 5100 Commerce Parkway.
