Roswell Library Holds Teen Reading Program this Summer

Sign up now for the teen reading program, which begins June 1 and continues through August 1.

The Roswell Library’s teen summer reading program, "You Are Here" begins June 1 and continues through August 1.

Teens will enjoy participating in special events, including a hip-hop performance, a street magic workshop, summer book "speed dates," a visit with Mike Buchanan, author of The Fat Boy Chronicles; drama workshops, hands-on science workshops and a jam session to learn how to play the Australian didgeridoo.

But if that's not enough - prizes will be awarded as well.

Starting June 1, teens in middle school and high school can register to read five books between June 1 and August 1.  Those who succeed will receive a Chick-Fil-A coupon and their names will be entered into a drawing for prizes offered by the Roswell Branch and by the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System. Prizes include a Nook Color e-reader with cover and an X-box Kinect with two games.

The program is free and open to the public.  Reservations are required and some events have limited space. The Roswell Library is located at 115 Norcross Street. For more information, call the Roswell Library at 770-640-3075.
