Roswell Library Hosts Lecture on African-Americans in the Civil War

This Monday, Oct. 3, the Roswell Library will host former NBA player, Mike Glenn, as a guest speaker on the African-American influence on the Civil War.

The Roswell Library is hosting "Lessons from the War: African-Americans and the Civil War" this Monday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. 

Former NBA player and historian Mike Glenn will share period documents, pictures and newspaper clippings from his personal collection as a way of illuminating the many roles that African-Americans played in the war, as well as what influence their presence and actions had on its outcome.

The program - which is geared toward teens and adults - is free and open to the public. Reservations are required.
