Roswell Makes Statement on Weather-Related Closings

Patch Staff Report

Due to inclement weather, the City of Roswell’s offices and facilities will be closed on Wednesday and will not reopen until 10 a.m. on Thursday contingent upon weather conditions.

Tuesday's 5 p.m. Administration, Finance, Recreation & Parks and Public Safety & Public Works Committee Meeting has been cancelled.

As freezing rain/snow is expected this evening and ice will accumulate overnight, utility companies are warning residents to expect possible power outages in areas where freezing rain impacts power lines.

City officials will continue to assess the situation and make adjustments if necessary.

The Roswell Department of Transportation (DOT) is urging residents to be cautious if they need to be on the City’s roads.

“We are closely monitoring this situation, constantly reassessing the temperature and the condition of the roads," said Director of Roswell DOT Steve Acenbrak in a news release.
