Roswell Named 'Hottest Up-And-Coming Neighborhood'

Corporate national real estate blog, Redfin, puts Roswell among the top 16 areas in the U.S. that will see a boom in 2013.

We all know Roswell is a great place to live, work and play - and now so does the rest of the U.S. thanks to a new real estate blog by Redfin.

The blog names the top 16 "Hottest Up-and-Coming Neighborhoods" in the country for 2013. Roswell is at the top of the list. Others also noted included: Somerville in Boston, North Maple Leaf in Seattle, Uptown Denver and Highland Park in Los Angeles.

When asked why real estate agents believed Roswell, along with the rest of the areas noted, were expected to "heat up" this coming year, "new restaurants, a hip local vibe, good schools and convenient commutes" were all cited.

Redfin Agent Sascha Gummersbach said:

"Roswell is considered a suburb, but is still close enough to downtown Atlanta. Shopping is great, there are a lot of restaurants and bars in Historic Downtown Roswell, and the district has great schools. Single family homes in the $200K to $300K price range don't last long on the market and often receive multiple offers."
