Roswell Roots Festival Named Best Cultural Event

The award was given during the 2014 Kaleidoscope Awards.

The Roswell Roots Festival has won the Gold Award for Best Cultural Event at the 2014 Kaleidoscope Awards. 

The awards were presented by the Southeast Festival and Events Association. 

Roswell Roots is organized by the Roswell Historic and Cultural Affairs Division and celebrates black history and culture by sponsoring a variety of art exhibits, history and cultural events. 2014 was the 13th year for the festival.

“We are very honored to have our Roswell Roots Festival recognized as the Best Cultural Festival in the Southeast,” said Morgan Timmis, historic and cultural affairs manager for the city of Roswell. “It’s a great affirmation that this 13-year-old program, which involves numerous community partners, is a valuable component of Roswell’s cultural life and a stand-out event worthy of recognition.”
