Roswell Traffic Signals Get Upgrades Today, Tomorrow

Be aware of work crews at the two intersections along Highway 9.

Upgrades to the traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 9 and Upper Hembree Road, as well as Highway 9 and Norcross Street will take place today, Tuesday, July 26 and tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27.

"The traffic signal upgrade is expected to take all day today and Wednesday," according to a statement released by the city.

The upgrades are the first of several short-term improvements planned through a joint effort between Roswell and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to improve motorist safety.

Any traffic interruptions will be directed by the Roswell Police Department (RPD).Β Drivers will see flashing lights beginning at 10 a.m. Once the signal lights are turned off completely for the upgrade, the RPD will direct traffic for the duration of the work.
