Self-Publishing Seminar Coming to Roswell

The two-day session is scheduled for Feb. 8-9.

Press Release:

A Roswell self-publishing specialist is making her experience and expertise in the field available to others who wish to publish their own writings.

Kimberly Martin, owner and founder of Jera Publishing, has announced a two-day seminar and workshop entitled “Self-Publishing Success!” for the weekend of Saturday, February 8th and Sunday, February 9th.

The event will take place at 875 Old Roswell Road, Suite E-300 on both days.

According to Martin, a nine-year veteran of the self-publishing world who has helped numerous writers publish their own works, the seminar and workshop will provide both critical information on the basics of self-publishing and hands-on work in which participants will develop their own self-publishing plans.

“Day one is devoted to the seminar, which gives a wide range of information on the entire self-publishing process, from copyright registration to proper distribution via the major self-publishing sales channels,” she says. “The workshop on day two will enable writers to take this new-found knowledge and apply it toward their own self-publishing action plan.”

Martin points out that self-publishing requires rigorous planning and implementation of such basic project factors as timelines, budgeting, layout and design, pricing, distribution and marketing strategies.

“Self-publishing grants authors tremendous freedom to write and sell whatever they want, but it also requires a lot of know-how, organization and follow-through,” Martin adds. “Self-publishers are also solely responsible for the marketing of their products, so understanding how to do that is crucial.”

The seminar costs $195 per person and only 15 seats are available. Interested parties are directed to contact Jera Publishing at 770-642-6400 or km@jerapublishing.com for more information or visit http://www.self-pub.net/seminar/ to register for the event.
