Spaniel-Beagle Mix Looking for a Home

Kirstie is 19 months old and weighs 30 pounds.

Meet Kirstie – a Spaniel/Beagle mix female who is 19 months old and weighs around 30 pounds. This poor girl and her siblings were found at the age of three months old in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and were rescued before their turn to be euthanized.

All of these puppies had fear issues at the time of rescue and Kirstie most of all. She is timid and initially scared when she is in an area without boundaries/no fencing and takes her time building trust with humans and a bit longer with males, but, with patience, comes a reward of love and acceptance from this amazing young pup.

Kirstie has a lot of energy and loves to run laps in the back yard and in the house. She is addicted to playing "chase" with her foster siblings and loves to also play tug-o-war with toys.

She is enjoying learning that it is okay and safe to walk around her foster's neighborhood on a leash and is completely okay with other dogs (she's submissive to them) and cats being around her - she has no interest in chasing her foster's kitties.

Kirstie has no aggression issues whatsoever. Her ideal home must have another friendly, playful and preferably energetic dog, a 6-foot privacy fenced-in back-yard and, most of all, a patient, loving, committed and understanding family who come with prior doggie experience.

Kirstie is spayed, house-trained but needs to go out regularly to potty, and is crate-trained and very comfortable being crated. She is also up-to-date on all shots and vetting, is microchipped and ready to take on that next step in the journey to her forever home and family.
