Studio 23 Hosts Dance Master Class Benefitting Autism Speaks

The dance classes range from $20-$50 per dancer.

It’s going to be an action packed weekend at Studio 23 this weekend. The Roswell dance studio is holding master classes for all area dancers this weekend with Ivan Koumaev, Holly Robinson and Project 7.

Dancers are invited to learn from the best this weekend.

Ivan Koumaev is one of the most sought after dancers working in television today. He will be choreographing for Usher’s upcoming world tour and has already danced and choreographed for many top stars such as: Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, and Justin Beiber just to name a few. He is also well known as a finalist in Season 2 on “So You Think You Can Dance.”

On Sunday, Contemporary classes will also be offered by Cherrise Wakeham. She is the founder, director and choreographer of Project 7 Contemporary Dance Company. She is recognized nationally for her choreography as well as her success as an influential instructor. 

Also on Sunday, dancers are invited to experience contemporary dance with Holly Robinson. Holly has received numerous awards regionally and nationally as both a dancer and choreographer. Holly is also a resident instructor at Studio 23.

On Sunday, all classes will donate a portion of the proceeds to Autism Speaks. The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Saturday, Dec. 1:
10 AM-11:30 AM Grades 1-5 w/ Ivan
11:30AM-1 PM Grades 6-8 w/ Ivan
2 PM-3:30 PM Grades 9-10 w/ Ivan
3:30 PM-5 PM Grades 11-12 w/ Ivan
All Classes are $40 per dancer

Sunday, Dec. 2:
10 -11:30 AM Grades 10-12 Hip-Hop w/ Ivan
10 -11:30 AM Grades 7-9 Contemp. w/ Holly
11:45-1:15 PM Grades 7- 9 Hip-Hop w/ Ivan
11:45-1:15 PM Grades 10-12 Contemp. w/Project 7
2 PM-3:30 PM Grades 3-6 Hip-Hop w/Ivan

All Hip-Hop classes are $40 per dancer
All Contemporary classes are $20 per dancer
Combine 1 hip-hop and 1 contemporary for $50
