Sweet Apple Village Farmers Market Begins this Afternoon

Just when other markets are closing out the season, the Sweet Apple Village Farmers Market kicks off to get you through the winter.

Sweet Apple Village kicks off the fall with its inaugural weekly Farmers Market today, Thursday, Oct. 6.

No need to wait until the weekend or get up early on a Saturday. Vendors at the village will bring fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, baked goods and other local market items to residents from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday evening. Plan to stop on your way home from work or school; pop in on your way to practice; or swing by after a run in the park.

Today, kids can make a scarecrow during the market. Hay, rope and stakes are provided; only imagination and additional decorations are needed. Also, during October, the market will have a weekly collection for non-perishable food donations to support North Fulton Community Charities. And on Oct. 20, and will offer an evening of food, drinks and fun to support the Susan G Komen Cause for the Cure from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
