Visit Chattahoochee Nature Center's 'Back to Nature Holiday Market' This Weekend
The special event features free admission to the nature center, Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Find the perfect ‘handmade’ gift, from ornaments to original art, eco-friendly items, toys, candles and even clothing from over 40 talented local artisans at the Back to Nature Holiday Market at Chattahoochee Nature Center, Saturday, Dec. 1.
Kick off the holiday season and shop green while supporting the local economy. Find local honey to help your loved ones combat their allergies. Know a knitter? Local alpaca wool will help them create their next masterpiece. Help young artists get started by purchasing creatively made hair bows and accessories perfect for the tween on your list. Keep skin healthy and glowing with bath and body products such as whipped shea butter, handmade vegan soaps and bamboo cleansing cloths. A hand-made leather case is the perfect accessory to help protect that iPhone or KindleFire. A unique glass sculpture will stand out and take center stage in any wintertime garden. Live Reindeers - Dec. 16, 1 p.m.- 4 p.m., All Ages
It’s time to get everyone together and come out for a new holiday tradition with the entire family to get in the spirit and experience the magic of the season. Live reindeer will be making a special holiday appearance at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. You can make your own reindeer crafts from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Create a thumbprint reindeer to take home and build your own reindeer antlers. Bring a picnic so you can spend the whole day exploring CNC and spending time together as a family. Then warm up by the campfire with treats! Finish a perfect day listening to Miss Julia’s Winter Story Time at 3 p.m. It’s another wacky and wonderful winter story. Prepare to laugh and learn as we celebrate winter animals with a story, a song and some unexpected surprises. All this is included with general admission: $6 for Child/$10Adult/$7 Seniors 65+/$7 Students 13-18/Free to CNC Members & Kids 2 and under.

The nature center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. You’ll find all programs on their website at www.chattnaturecenter.org.
