Don’t miss Atlanta Dance Theatre’s 21st Annual performances of their Holiday favorite, “Babes In Toyland” - This original and interactive production is based on the Victor Herbert play and choreographed by Jonnie Kelley and the late Jorge Guevara. “Babes In Toyland” showcases over 70 dancers and actors, and features Atlanta Workshop Players.
The audience cheers for Mary, Quite Contrary, and her friends (Tom, the Piper’s Son, Curly Locks, Red Riding Hood, Jack & Jill, and Bo Peep) as they search for Bo Peep’s lost sheep. Boos and hisses accompany the exploits of the evil Barnaby and his cohorts. Their adventures take them from Mother Goose Village to the enchanted Spider Forest and, finally, to Toyland, where Bo Peep and her sheep are reunited; the villain Barnaby is defeated; and, Tom and Mary are wed. The story is enchanting and the music is contagious. Mother Goose characters come to life… spiders dance… toys perform… you’ll be humming “Toyland” throughout the holidays.
