Naplah Art Exhibit

This Thursday is the last night for the Naplah Art Exhibit

Naplah is a self taught artist from Liberia. He moved to the United States as a result of the last Liberian Civil War. After many years of painting in oil, water colors, pen and ink, Naplah later became one of the founders of the New Breed Arts Association, an organization based in Liberia which helps students who are interested in the arts.

Naplah’s early paintings are scenes from his native land such as market scenes, masks, drums, women, men and children. Naplah’s work draws forth feelings of love and family.
