MOJO VINYL AND RECORD STORE DAY CELEBRATE THE YEAR OF VINYL WITH BACK TO BLACK FRIDAY 

Once again, independent record stores will be the exclusive source for some of the most sought-after music releases this year, as the holiday shopping season kicks off on Black Friday, November 25th.
 
When the best bands in rock history send a nod to the indie music stores, how much better can it get? Bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Soundgarden, The Doors, The Beastie Boys, Wilco, The Black Keys, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, John Cale, Tom Petty, Nirvana and a host of other bands release special recordings, some unavailable before Black Friday.


Most of the special releases are being issued as vinyl records – hence the “Back to Black Friday” name.  The vinyl format has experienced a huge surge in popularity in recent years, spearheaded almost entirely by independent stores.
