GET's 'The Foreigner' Begins Next Week
The comedy will be performed at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center from Feb. 23-March 11.
The Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET) continues its 19th season with one of the funniest American plays ever written: "The Foreigner" by Larry Shue.
"The Foreigner" - which runs Feb. 23 through March 11 - is a comedy about Charlie, whose shyness renders him helpless in conversation. After a friend covers for him by telling the other guests in a rural Georgia mountain lodge that he is an exotic foreigner and speaks no English, Charlie ends up hearing much more than he should – and the hilarity begins.
“Laughter is one of the greatest balms we have as human beings, and this show is a perfect band-aid to help heal us, whether it be the aches of troubled times that need attending or a simple lift from the doldrums of winter,” said GET Artistic Director Robert J. Farley.
