The High Museum of Art will feature the local community's very own Roswell Art District (RAD) Galleries during the “Vive Le Polo!” event at this coming Sunday, Aug. 26.
Several Roswell art galleries will display their unique art, jewelry and sculpture during the event, including:
Art Partners and Young Patron Members of the High Museum of Art, as well as the general public, are invited to bring picnic lunches and enjoy the pastoral landscape of Chukkar Farms and Polo Club while watching a polo game and shopping for art. Adding more creativity to the festive atmosphere is the High’s Hat Contest for which guests are invited to enter and will be judged in categories and awarded prizes from the participating art galleries.
“Vive Le Polo!” begins at 1 p.m., with the polo match starting at 2 p.m.
Guests who are unfamiliar with the game and its rules will appreciate the exciting narration and information provided throughout the match. The 173 acre farm is well known in the area for its beautiful rolling grounds, making it a perfect spot for a summer afternoon of fun. Round up the family – the kids will love observing the potbelly pigs as well as the pounding of hooves during the match – or load up the car with a group of horse and art-loving friends.
For $30 a vehicle, guests can count on a fabulous Sunday afternoon out.
