'Kip’s Angels' Visual Art Show Coming to Roswell

The show will run from Feb. 15 through March 1, with an opening reception on Friday, Feb. 15 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Roswell’s annual art show with Kip Rogers and his students returns this month with a new theme – “Kip’s Angels.”

According to a city press release, each year, three of Rogers’ current or previous students are featured in a group show at the Roswell Area Park Visual Arts Building. The 2013 show will feature Christine Biasetti, the blond angel; Jennifer Ferris, the redheaded angel; and Amy Frank, the brunette angel.

“We like to pick a fun theme to go along with the shows,” Rogers said. “In the past we've had themes like ‘Three's Company’ and ‘Grumpy Old Men.’ I usually pick the group first and then think of an amusing parallel. The ladies featured this year all have different hair color and are around the same age… which was perfect for a "Charlie’s Angels" spin-off!”

Biasetti works in a variety of media including pastel, watercolor, oil and acrylic and her paintings feature a breadth of subject matter. Ferris will be showing new works from her “Flights of Fancy” series and her new series - “Geometry”. Frank’s subject matter includes florals, landscapes and her series of “Dress” paintings.

“The ladies have different painting styles which is what I look for most. The diversity will make for an interesting show,” Rogers said.
