New Logo Kicks Off 46th Annual Roswell Arts Festival

The festival will take place at the historic Roswell Square on Sept. 15-16.

The success of the Roswell Arts Festival has inspired the organizing committee to update the logo as they celebrate 46 years of art and community service.

Creating the logo was not an easy task and it had to be done in time to release in promotional materials for the 2012 festival. The committee wanted the logo to convey the vibrancy of the arts and capture the fun of the festival. After several versions, the new logo (shown in this article) was established and is now being showcased in many ways.

The committee is extremely proud of the festival and the funds it has raised to help our community. .

The event is sponsored each year by the Roswell Recreation Association, a group that is dynamic in its fundraising efforts for the . Founded in 1966, the Roswell Arts Festival Committee has worked tirelessly to bring quality artisans to Roswell for the benefit of the community and to raise money in support of the Roswell Recreation and Parks Department.

The Roswell Arts Festival has raised money for a variety of projects throughout its forty-six year history, including funding for the Roswell Visual Arts Center, Roswell’s Riverside Park, funding for the Roswell Adult Recreation Center, and funding for the purchase of sixty three acres of land that would later become Roswell Area Park, Sprayground funding, and shade to add to enjoyment of the spray ground, to name just a few.

The 2012 festival is better than ever.

After all...46 years means it’s a tradition! Drawing artists and artisans from throughout the Southeast, an array of fine arts, original crafts, festive foods and entertainment fill the historic Town Square.  As always, attendees will enjoy the beautiful and historic Town Square, meeting the artists, browsing and purchasing wonderful works of art at the signature festival that helped begin Roswell’s reputation as an arts destination.  Awards are presented to the artists in a variety of categories and judging will not be an easy task.

This year entertainment will be provided by a variety of groups and individual performing artists, including HERO – a national touring artist, and certainly an entertainment highlight will be Justin Bieber and Katy Perry look-a-likes, sure to please the crowds. Roswell’s Southern Rock Band, Highway 92 and classic hits will be presented by Harms Way while Satin Alley features jazz. Dance performances add to the festivities.  (See the full lineup below.)
