Roswell City Dance to Hold Annual Auditions

Roswell City Dance, the city of Roswell’s competitive dance company will soon hold its annual audition for all female and male dancers.

Dancers, between the ages of seven and 18, may audition within many forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary. Designated school grade is for the 2012-2013 school year.

The audition schedule for the 2012-2013 season is as follows:

GRADES 2-4

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Audition Monday, May 14 – 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

GRADES 5-7

Ballet Audition Tuesday, May 8 – 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Jazz/Tap/Contemporary Wednesday, May 9 – 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

NOTE – Dancers must attend both days

GRADES 8-10

Ballet Audition Tuesday, May 8 – 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Jazz/Tap/Contemporary Thursday, May 10 – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

NOTE – Dancers must attend both days

GRADES 11-12

Ballet Audition Wednesday, May 9 – 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Jazz/Tap/Contemporary Friday, May 11 – 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

NOTE – Dancers must attend both days

Under the direction of Shannon Childers, Roswell City Dance is ranked a “Top Ten Studio in the USA” for 2011.

The Roswell City Dance Competitive Company consists of a select group of dancers chosen to represent the city of Roswell at regional and national competitions and conventions. Dancers study and perform many different styles of dance including: Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Musical Theater.
