Roswell's Art Center West to Host 'Works in Clay Holiday Show, Sale'

The show takes place Dec. 6-9.

The Roswell Clay Collective is holding its annual Works in Clay Holiday Show and Sale at Art Center West in December.

The sale opens with a public reception on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. and continues through Friday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Handmade, signed functional pottery and sculptures at all prices and representing more than 40 artists are available during the show, affording a wonderful opportunity to purchase locally made works of art for gifts and for collectors!

Works in Clay this year is Stop 21 on the North Georgia Art Ramble, a self-guided tour of numerous studios and galleries, displaying art in many different mediums, including painting, photography, clay, glass and jewelry. Door prizes are available at many stops and special prizes are awarded to ramblers in accordance with the number of stops they make. See www.ngaartramble.com for more information about prizes.

Art Center West is a teaching studio located at Leita Thompson Memorial Park on Woodstock Road, 1355 Woodstock Road in Roswell. The beautiful old home housing the facility is customarily decorated for the holiday season during the winter show and sale. Customers and browsers will have an opportunity to speak with the artists at the center as they grab some hot coffee, enjoy the environs, and make a gift selection from the numerous and varied handmade work. Information about the center is also available for those who would like to add some artful moments to their busy days by digging into clay and spinning some pots on the wheel or building vessels and sculptures by hand.
