Studio 23 Opens its Doors and Dances into Roswell

Former award-winning Roswell City Dance instructor Shannon Childers has gone out on her own and welcomes the community to stop by her new studio, Saturday, Sept. 15.

Shannon Childers knows a thing or two about dance - it's why she's opening Studio 23 in Roswell.

For the past 15 years competitive dancers at the elite level of competition have received hundreds of regional and national awards, titles and scholarships under Childers. Many local dancers have gone on to have professional careers in dance.

More than 80 of these award-winning dancers, who have been previously directed and trained by Childers, have joined her effort to create Company 23, the dance company of Studio 23.

Studio 23 will offer classes for all ages and all levels of ability. From tots to teens, classes are starting in ballet, tap, jazz, and  hip-hop at all levels. Plus, an exciting "Dance and Play" program will be offered for preschool age children to provide an introduction to rhythm and movement and give moms a couple of hours to run errands.

A select group of dance instructors and nationally recognized choreographers have joined with Childers to create an exceptional staff who will meet the needs of dancers in all genres and abilities.

In an easily accessible Roswell location, Studio 23 opens its doors for an open house celebration on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

At the open house, interested parents and dancers are welcome to take a peek at Company 23 during rehearsal, check out the new fall schedule and meet the instructors who can answer questions about Studio 23 and the exceptional dance training offered.

Studio 23's open house will be held at 10800 Alpharetta Hwy, Suite C166. This is the shopping center at the corner of Mansell Road. and Alpharetta Highway, where Serious Tennis and Play It Again Sports are located. For more information or inquiries, interested parties may call 770-649-0600.
