just has a vibe about it, quite literally. The studio's Vibe Performance Dance Company is working hard on its first dance showcase to make sure the performances are so engaging, even the audience will find their toes tapping along.

The showcase - with two shows at on Saturday, Feb. 11 - promises to be a fun-filled event for dance novices and enthusiasts alike. The Vibe will perform some of the competition pieces it will be taking on the road and highlight its award-winning choreography performed by dancers in full costume with electrifying music and lights. The show will feature adventurous contemporary, exciting jazz, fast-paced hip hop and tap as well as musical theater and a company tribute to the classic dance movies of the 80′s and 90′s.

The showcase celebrates Vibe’s 10th year of competitive dance with a company membership of 45 talented dancers ranging in age from 7 to 18 who have earned both regional and national recognition in the world of competitive dance. The dancers, who hail from North Fulton County, spend countless hours at Footnotes studio rehearsing choreography created by award winning choreographers to prepare for a challenging and exciting year of regional and national competition.  The Vibe has received some of dance’s highest achievement awards in past seasons and its members have been recipients of national dance scholarships and apprenticeships.
