Top Books are Listed for 2011

Reviewers name their favorite books of last year.

The new year has begun, and with it, a chance to brush up on some of the best books of last year.

Some of the world's most noteable book reviewers have listed their favorites. Just click on the following links to find out what they had to say:

  • The New York Times - Among Times' reviewers favorite books of 2011: "11/22/63" by Stephen King, about a diner that has portal, allowing time travel back to 1958 and can be used to stop Lee Harvey Oswald from assasinating JFK; and "The Boy in the Moon" by Ian Brown, a true story which explores a father's relationship with his son who was born with a rare genetic mutation.
  • The Wall Street Journal - WSJ'sTom Nolan lists some of his favorite fiction from 2011 as "A Drop of the Hard Stuff" by Lawrence Block is a period-piece about an unlicensed investigator and "If Jack's in Love" by Stephen Wetta about the disappearance of a 1960's teen from a blue-collar family in Virginia.
  • Amazon.com - The mega-website lists its best sellers for 2011. At the top: “Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson, a book on the title subject; and “Bossypants” by Tina Fey, a look at Fey's rise to become one of the most sucessfulcomediennes of our time.
