'Writers in the Round' Music Event Comes to Downtown Roswell this Weekend

The unique “Writers in the Round” event brings a taste of Nashville to the Roswell Square this weekend Saturday night, March 24, at the .

Professional singers, song-writers and producers from Nashville will perform in the classic Nashville style made popular at the Bluebird Café. The three artists - Will Hodge, Keren Leppo and Asha Lightbearer - will sit on stage in a circle and take turns performing for the audience in a casual, enjoyable format.

Meet the Artists:

Wil Hodge is a song-writer who has written with some of the best writers in the business today. His philosophy of “writing clean” has him co-writing with some of the best in the business. Wil engineers and produces artists from his own studio where he sifts for gold daily. He has co-written songs with Roswell’s own local singer, song-writer and owner of Ragamuffin Music Hall in downtown Roswell, Ashley Harris. The pair will play together at the Bluebird Café on April 11.

“[Writing hit songs] is the best job in the world," Hodge says. "The only thing better is playing live for people who listen.”

Keren Leppo’s music is characterized by soulful vocals, poignant lyrics and percussive guitar.  Her sweet and rollicking down-home sound is rooted in a rich history of gospel, country, blues, rock and soul. The blending of such diverse backgrounds has resulted in a musical style of widespread appeal.

Asha Lightbearer performs her uplifting music primarily for audiences interested in a new way of living that focuses on transforming life’s experiences into joy, peace and abundance. Asha’s music brings the sound of the universe to the listener through the vibration of her compositions and her voice. Her inspirational lyrics teach us to see things differently and reminds us to focus our thoughts and intentions on a higher level of awareness and gratitude.

The music event takes place at 8 p.m. at Ragamuffin Music Hall, 585 Atlanta Street, Roswell.
