Community Update

There is a reason that this place gets only 1 star reviews. They actually deserve 0 stars if that was an option. By and far the worst experience I have ever had ordering flowers and gifts for someone.

So I ordered this 3 color purple roses bouquet for my wife on our anniversary. I ordered it two weeks in advance so there wouldn't be any problems. Even though I have had trouble with FTD in the past, this seemed to be the only place that could hand deliver purple roses arranged in a vase, instead of having them shipped in a box then have to arrange them yourself.

I ordered this and one of the biggest selling points was that it came in a matching purple vase. A tall, beautiful, angled purple crystal vase that matched the roses. And thanks to the constant up-selling of FTD's website, I also bought a greeting card, balloons, chocolates, and a teddy bear.

What she got was only pink and lavender roses, not the purple ones that made this the whole reason I bought this specific item. It was called passion in purple! And it came in a small, plain, clear glass vase. The cheapest of the cheap.

None of the other items arrived. I spent as much on the extras as on the flowers. No balloons, no card, no bear, and no chocolates.

Not to mention the fact that the delivery driver called my wife for no reason, and ruined the surprise. On the website it clearly states that the recipient will only be contacted if there is an issue with the delivery. They called her just to say they were on their way. And when he got there with just flowers and none of the other items, he just stood there making small talk waiting for a tip.

The florist was rude and blamed FTD. FTD was rude and blamed the florist. Their excuse was that the extra items "flew away". Are you freaking kidding me? FTD offered me a measly 20% off the order. That didn't even cover the cost of the items that didn't show up. I'm simply going to dispute the charges with my credit card company.

Avoid this piss poor excuse for a florist at all costs. I couldn't find a single review on the internet for them with a positive review. And yet FTD keeps on using them. Had I known this was going to be the florist used I would have canceled immediately.
