Why is it that one time a year kids can't just have fun, gorge on candy and get sick like in the old days. We did it when I was a kid and it hasn't killed me yet. Kids today are going to have enough neuroses without making them crazy about eating candy once a year.

well the difference is that today we know that childhood diabetes is an epidemic. It's a little like letting them smoke a pack of cigarettes once a year cause we know if it's just that once it won't hurt
