Roswell Homeowners Sent Bad Assessments

Assessments were 10 times higher than correct amount.

Roswell homeowners receiving their property tax assessments were in for a huge shock when their taxes were wrongly estimated at 10 times the correct amount.

According to a notice sent out by the City of Roswell, the Fulton County Assessor's Office made an error in assessments mailed to Roswell residents, overestimating property taxes at 10 times higher than the correct amount.

"This error would make the property taxes $5,455 on the average home in Roswell assessed at $250,000 instead of the correct amount of $545.50," says the notice.
