Businesses Make Gingerbread Houses, Locals to Pick Favorites

Stop by Chambrel and vote for your favorites, Dec. 1-9.

Chambrel at Roswell will celebrate the holiday season in a special way this year - with its first ever Gingerbread House contest.

From Dec. 1 and Dec. 9 visitors from throughout the region are invited stop by the retirement community to see exquisitely decorated gingerbread houses crafted by local Roswell and metro Atlanta area businesses. Visitors will enjoy an afternoon of holiday sights, sounds, aromas and tastes. Sip hot cocoa, listen to Christmas carols and take a leisurely tour.

The free event asks visitors to vote for their favorite gingerbread house.

Organizers hope to make the contest an annual tradition.

Chambrel will be open to visitors looking to cast their votes for the best house, Dec. 1-9, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Daily tours of the community are available from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. For group reservations and information, call 770-594-4600.
