Caregiving Housing Locator Teams with Social Work Company

Through the partnership, CIG - a supervised housing locating service provider that covers Roswell - will now be able to give their caregiver clients the ability to utilize CCC's case management services.

Caring Is Giving LLC (CIG) and Compass Care Consultants (CCC) are teaming up.

Through the partnership, CIG - a supervised housing locating service provider that covers Roswell - will now be able to give their caregiver clients the ability to utilize CCC's case management services via a social worker.

"This alliance was formed to reassure caregivers that we are more than a locating company," said Winnie Sanders-Hamilton, founder of Caring is Giving. "We thrive on dignifying and caring for the consumers we are privileged to work with way after they are placed in a supervised location. By adding a dimension which will go beyond us finding supervised placement for their loved-ones."

Additionally, the new relationship, which took effect in January 2013, ensures that individuals seeking the combined care and oversight of a loved-one can find relief in knowing their loved one is getting complete care. That includes not only a safe roof over their heads, but a social worker to follow their progress.

"With intensive case management, reliable resources are essential to success. Any facilities to which we refer our clients must be top-notch. Caring Is Giving has proven to be an invaluable partner. My clients cannot do without it," said Shantel Forstall, LCSW, founder of Compass Care Consultants (CCC).

Filling a Long-Standing Need

The process of finding a suitable residential care facility is daunting for a person who already bears responsibility to see to the daily needs of themselves and their loved ones. Since there are no federal standards and each state may regulate operation for these small care homes, it's vital to thoroughly research each potential residence. It is often recommended that a caregiver visit three or six homes in order to find one suitable for their loved one.

CIG is stepping in to fill a long-standing need for local caregivers. The company rigorously inspects and regularly reviews the facilities in Georgia and can ensure that no time is wasted going to homes that do not meet the state standards. Only the cleanest, safest, best-respected facilities are accepted into the CIG’s network.

Caregivers get the benefit of CIG’s expertise and guidance without cost to them. As a part of the agreement, clients will also have the option of requesting CCC’s expertise. The business is owned and operated by a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 18 years’ experience. Their staff is made up of other LCSWs, who not only feel concern for patients and clients in their care, but must meet strict government standards and maintain their license through continuing education. The provide case manager training, annual certification (20-25 hours of training for assisted living and personal care homes staff), weekend assessments (which includes substance abuse assessments), work with elderly and those with behavioral issues.
