Country Club of Roswell Names New GM and Controller

General Manager Mike Davis and new Controller Ed Van Buren will join the club staff.

recently announced new General Manager Mike Davis and new Controller Ed Van Buren have joined its staff.

The general manger position has been vacant since the retirement of Kevin Smith last summer. After an exhaustive nation-wide search, Davis was selected to lead CCR into the future and continue its vision to be the club of choice in North Atlanta.

Davis joins CCR from Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois where he served as General Manager. Panther Creek Country Club hosted the 2011 LPGA State Farm Classic in June of last year. Prior to Panther Creek Country Club Davis was the General Manager at Ballantyne Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Davis is a Class A PGA Member, holds a CCM with the Club Managers Association of America and is a PGA Certified Professional in General Management. He holds a B.S. in Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

Van Buren, the new CCR controller, spent the last twelve years as Vice President of Finance for Fountainhead Development, headquartered at Chateau Elan, in Braselton, Georgia. He managed a staff of five and was responsible for all financial and accounting activities for the 18-hole Legends Golf Club, restaurant, sports club and pool, catering facilities and member cottages. He also had additional financial responsibilities within the company's real estate development division. Prior to his work with Fountainhead, Van Buren had held corporate accounting positions with U.S. Healthworks and Hayes Corporation. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of South Florida. Van Buren and his family live in the Roswell area.
