In Your Business: Party Chic Owners "Take the Cake"

"In Your Business" is a series on Roswell's entrepreneurs and business owners. This week we'll get to know Lorry Kemp and Kelly Smith-Blacha of Party Chic by Kelly Kakes

What is your business and how long have you been doing it?

Party Chic by KellyKakes is an Event Studio and cafe in Historic Roswell that opened in July 2008. KellyKakes is a custom-cake business that has been around since 1999. We offer lunch and dinner, and live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We also are the perfect location for baby and bridal showers and birthday parties (for kids and grown-ups).

As a partnership, we have different strengths and weaknesses and are able to recognize what they are. We have different roles within the business (creative end and business end) and do not step on each other’s toes.  On the creative side we have the famous Cupcake Martini and on the business side we have plans to expand into the space below us. We both live in Roswell and have children in the Roswell school district. We participate in various fundraisers and support local charities with donations of services.

How do people find you?

People find us on the internet, in bridal magazines, word of mouth and by sitting in traffic on Canton Street! Party Chic is a vintage venue at 953 Canton Street, Roswell.  www.partychic.net (770) 643-0020
