New Sports Facility Arrives in Roswell

Cage Rage has a little something for every athlete, or fun-seeker.

Roswell's newly opened fills a void for North Fulton residents looking to have some athletic fun.

"I opened Cage Rage to provide a close, clean and secure place for the youth of our area to train and have fun," said Mike McDannell, owner of Cage Rage.

The sports facility, located on Alpharetta Highway, has batting cages, a half-court basketball court, work out area, birthday party room, arcade, parent waiting area, boot camps and yoga classes.

"Since Sports-a-Rama [of] Roswell went out of business in March, the closest places are seven to 15 miles away, [which is] 30 to 40 minutes in traffic," said McDannell. "The proximity for Roswell/Alpharetta residents is key. We have a clean and spacious facility with good lighting."

McDannell hopes the facility will appeal to both serious athletes and parents of local youth looking for a place to let their kids practice, have a party or attend camp. But an adult waiting area, complete with television and Wi-Fi to catch a show or catch up on work, means parents and guardians aren't left out in the cold either. The facility also offers personal training, boot camps and is expected to add yoga classes as well.

As far as training opportunities go, Cage Rage currently offers batting cages for baseball/softball practice or instruction. But if you're without an instructor, they have those too.

"We have excellent instructors in baseball, softball, basketball, lacrosse, personal training, speed and agility," McDannell said.

The facility's grand opening will take place Saturday, Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Cage Rage is located at 11005 Alpharetta Highway.
