Roswell Woman named Top Producer for New York Life

Roswell resident and financial planner Meredith Moore has been named the top producer for New York Life’s Greater Atlanta and North Georgia offices, reaching a status rare for women in her industry.

Within her job, Moore coordinates financial planning for individuals, families and family-owned businesses in Atlanta. She was named one of NAIFA’s Four Under 40 in 2010 and the Atlanta Business Chronicle listed her among the region’s 40 Under Forty in its Up & Comers for 2009. In 2007, she was profiled in Newsweek Magazine as a winner of NAIFA’s Client Service Award.

Women represent 24 percent of the approximately 6,700 active New York Life agents. Only 2 percent of women agents reached the Chairman’s Council level. Of those 33 women, Moore is the only agent younger than 40.

But Moore hasn't merely been successful in business, she's done it while fighting - and surviving - cancer. She was in her 20's with a husband and two-year-old son when she started having headaches. An emergency room doctor discovered the tumor in her brain after she went in because the pain had grown unbearable. Undeterred, Moore continued an active lifestyle, competing in two triathlons during her chemotherapy treatments. Eventually, with the help of her doctors, the cancer went into remission.

Today, Moore continues to thrive both physically and in business.
